Tornado TeamThe Tornado Team has been setting up dates for tornado drills, creating information for what to do if there is a tornado at home, also working on the procedures to follow during a tornado drill.
Bully BustersThe Bully Busters have been working on a way to best educate the student body regarding the system for reporting bullying while it is happening. They’re also working to create a peer support group for bullying. This peer support group would become a first step of reporting bullying. This group would get both sides of a situation and help resolve the situation before seeking further intervention. The Bully Busters have also been working on what to do if a fight breaks out at school. Another point of emphasis for this group is making sure students are aware of proper use of cell phones in sensitive areas of the building.
Food FightersThe Food Fighters been working on finding procedures to follow for when someone is choking, when there is a wet floor, and what to do with food and drink outside of the cafeteria. They will also be conducting student surveys regarding the status of school lunches and what can be done to help the student body stay healthy at home and school.
